Chromotherapy: home and colors!!

Choosing the right color for a particular room of our house is a delicate task at times. It's well known that colors are connected with emotions and may therefore affect our mood, concentration and even our digestion. Here is a quick reminder of the main colors and their meanings:YELLOW represents the sun, it recalls the ideas of vitality, intellect and longevity. It also stimulates our inner energy, concentration and can speeds metabolism.BLU, in all its shades, is often associated with concepts of peace, serenity and introspection. It embodies the spirit and the energy of the water. It seems that it can lessen the sense of appetite and stimulate the thought.GREEN is the color of nature, it is then bound to the concept of growth and stimulates feelings of harmony and peace. It's a color often used in hospitals, as it is associated with the health and efficiency .Depending on its intensity can create very different effects: the bright green is beneficial to the sight while the softer and more natural tones can produce a calming effect.PURPLE is the color related to spirituality, meditation, sacred and for many years has been linked to the monarchy. In its darker tones it is associated with passion and fire. Instead lavender shades have a powerful sedative effect, to get to the shades of PINK, one of the more "cozy, relaxing and comfortable" color at all.RED is a color full of passion used, usually, only in few details to customize a room and to create a vibrant look especially if mixed with other primary colors like yellow, green and blue. But beyond all this, we don't have to forget that sometimes finding the right color is mostly a matter of "love at first sight."
