Irsap house -Lab: where comfort comes to life.

​Do you already know our home-Lab? It's a unique space, a reproduction of a real apartment in order to test the radiators in their everyday environment. The laboratory is in fact an apartment of 100 sm, with 4 bedrooms, a hallway and a bathroom where the radiators are tested in their dynamic work, wich means how they react in real life and in a real living environment.Specifically, all the permetral walls and ceiling are built with radiant panels able to simulate any weather condition and real situation that the apartment could work in, such as sudden changes in temperature caused for example by opening windows. Each radiator installed in the apartment is connected to the heat generator by two independent hydraulic circuits, one "normal", that is with the tubes identical to those currently used in normal dwellings (i.e. replicating a 10 °C temperature difference between the inlet and outlet radiator water), and one with smaller size pipes, designed specifically for building renovations. All radiators of the laboratory are connected to measurement instruments such as water temperature, environment, and water flow in order to be able to monitor in any moment. The thermo regulation control system Now has been developed within this laboratory and thanks to these advanced control systems. It was also used make studies in collaboration with the University of Bergamo and Enea.
